TURNING THINGS UPSIDE DOWN

Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?” Isaiah 29:16.

Will you let your Saviour frame your life and make it what He will? All power is His in heaven and on earth. Do not resist His moulding touch, or say that He has no understanding of your peculiar difficulties or temperament. Let Him appoint your place in life, and endow you with the wisdom and strength needed for the right discharge of its responsibilities.

By the Holy Spirit He forms in us His own life, leading us to walk in the way that pleases Him best, not following our own desires and wishes, but His; yielding to Him our will and obeying His instruction. – F.B. Meyer

MEN’S MONTHLY PRAYER TIMES

We would like to recommence our monthly Men’s Prayer Meeting on Monday evenings. All men are invited, and we hope as many as possible will attend. The first meeting will be on February 5th at 7:00pm.

BAPTISMAL SERVICE

On Thursday, January 25th, Dr. Larry Saunders had the joy of baptizing three people during our congregational week of prayer.

They are from left: Adam Vanderfeyst, Valyncia Croisière, and Wen Chen. Adam grew up in a Christian home and attended the Sunday School before moving to London, Ontario with his family where he came to know the Lord at the London FPC. He testified of the difficulty he faces as a Christian teenager in a public school, but is determined to honour the Lord. Valyncia was born into a Roman Catholic family in Haiti. She came to Canada as a young woman, but in a state of depression and religious confusion, she turned to the Word of God and cried out to the Lord to save her. She received an invitation in her mailbox to come to the Toronto church through its local community outreach and began to attend the services regularly in the fall of 2017. Valencia’s bright testimony for Christ is a blessing to the congregation. Wen Chen was born in China and began to attend the church about six years ago. Duncan, one of the church members, witnessed to her and she readily accepted the Lord. Marjory, another church member, has been quietly discipling her on a regular basis for the past few years. Wen wanted to obey the Lord and make public her profession of Christ by being baptized. Wen’s desire to grow in grace has been a blessing to the church family. “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes” (Psalm 118:23).

GYM FELLOWSHIP

Families are welcome to come to our gym on Tuesday evenings from 7-9 for fun and fellowship. Kingsley Jew is organizing this, and games include: Pickle Ball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, and Volleyball.
