You Need To Be Saved

“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” [John 3:3].

You Cannot Save Yourself

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us” [Titus 3:5].

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me” [John 14:6].

Jesus Has Provided for your Salvation

“For Christ also hath suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God” [1 Peter 3:18].

Jesus “who knew no sin,” God “made to be sin for us”; that “we might become the righteousness of God in Him” [2 Cor. 5:21].

“God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” [John 3:16].

You Can Be Saved Today

“Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near”  [Isaiah 55:6].

“Behold, now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation” [2 Corinthians 6:2].

“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” [Romans 10:9].

     Young men (and women) must make the word of God their rule; that will do more towards the cleansing of young men than the laws of princes or the morals of philosophers.  They must carefully apply that rule as a standard and steer by that chart and compass. [Matthew Henry].

     Be sure of this, that when the Lord is about to favour you with some great and peculiar blessing, He may prepare you for it by some great and peculiar trial. If He is about to advance you to some honour He may first lay you low that He may exalt you.

     If He is about to bless you in a sphere of great and distinguished usefulness, He may first place you in His school, that you may know how to teach others.  If He is about to bring forth your righteousness as the noon day, He may cause it to pass under a cloud, that, emerging from its momentary obscuration, it may shine with richer and more enduring lustre. Thus does He deal with all His people.

     When God formed the nation of Israel He gave them a set of instructions by which to govern their lives and country.  These are known as the Ten Commandments and they were given to Moses.  They are recorded in Exodus 20 and also in Deuteronomy 5.

     The first four commandments have to do with our relationship to God, while the second six are how we relate to our fellow man.  Unfortunately, society today pays little attention to God’s law, and the children are not taught obedience to it.  Hence, society is in a mess, and the world wonders why.

     What a wonderful world it would be if we didn’t have to listen to the daily reports of shootings and stabbings, and broken marriages through adultery, and no stealing, car thefts and other robberies.  Imagine a world where there is no dishonesty, lying or covetousness.

    Such a world isn’t going to happen here because of the sinfulness of the human heart.  By contrast heaven will be a joyful place where God’s law will always be kept.  It is a place where no sin will be allowed to enter. [Rev. 21:27].
